Apricot oil is extracted from the kernels (seeds) of apricots. The oil can be obtained from kernels using solvent extraction or a cold pressed method. We only ever use cold-pressed apricot oil because this ensures that the chemical compounds in the oil are not altered. Very, very important for blending the highest-quality oil in our skincare.
Melrose Apricot Kernel Oil is pressed from the seeds (kernel) of apricots. It is widely used topically for its ability to deeply penetrate the skin and is light in texture making for an ideal facial oil. Melrose Apricot Kernel Oil can also be used as a carrier oil and for massage.

Ideally used as a topical oil however can also be used in the kitchen for finishing and salads. Melrose Apricot Kernel Oil has a slight aroma and has a mild nutty taste.
